I don't mean to toot my own horn, but the incomplete list of closed subway entrances is my work, and if anyone here knows of any more, feel free to add them or tell me.

Why would you have one member jointly selected by the county executives? Zuckerman, a Putnam appointee, has always asked the right questions, as evidenced by the Emergency meeting. If anything, I would have the MTA Board appoint their own Chair and top MTA brass instead of the Governor, would eliminate the Governor's role from appointing members of the board to their own appointees, and I would give the County Execs. appointments full votes, because it is right, and to get votes from Republicans and Suburban Dems. I sent such a proposal to my reps in Albany–Ass. Hevesy and Sen. Addabbo, but have yet to hear back. It would require 2/3 to override Cuomo's veto, but I think it is doable.

According to Joe Raskin, who wrote The Routes Not Taken, Utica Avenue widens after Carroll Street to allow for an elevated extension (https://www.google.com/maps/@40.6659707,-73.9324561,339m/data=!3m1!1e3?hl=en&authuser=0) due to the high water table. This should be a top priority. Work is progressing on a $5 million MTA study. Extending the Nostrand Avenue Line would extend service to Southern Brooklyn and would increase capacity–the current bumper block terminal severely limits capacity. The tunnel actually continues a few hundred feet past the passageway between the two platforms, which was built at a later date.

In terms of the F express, the recommendation for implementation was not originally on the report. It sat for a year, before Hakim decided to put the recommendation on it, and then it was released. I would support it with the reopening of the lower level at Bergen. People forget that local riders could use the G to transfer to the F expresses. Some Ms could be extended to Church Avenue to cover the local. It currently runs 12 TPH, and can have 8 TPH to Metropolitan and 4 TPH to Church. I can get more into detail on my plan later.
